Carlyle Presbyterian Church

Pastor Steve Traw’s message Sunday was “Written on Parchment” taken from Revelation 2:12-17.

This was the fourth in a series of messages taken from Revelation; letters written to the seven churches located in seven major cities throughout Asia Minor, which today is the region of modern-day Turkey.

Owen Grisier, grandson of David and Phyllis Loomis, lit the altar candles during the morning worship service.

Pianist Myrna Wildschuetz played “The King Is Coming” for the prelude and organist Rita Sanders played “He Looked Beyond My Faults” for the offertory.

Emmy Grisier, the Loomises’ granddaughter, is celebrating her 12th birthday today. The Rev. Tom and Lucy Bevard celebrated their wedding anniversary Friday.

Rev. Bevard sang “Room at the Cross” accompanied by Myrna at the piano.

Bible Study  on the book of John is at 3 p.m. Tuesday.
